Gregory Ng
Founder, Publisher, Photographer of We Are NC Soccer
WeAreNCSoccer.com started as NCFCShots.com in the beginning of the 2020 USL Championship season as a way to provide the North Carolina FC staff, players, and fans photos from games.
At the conclusion of the 2021 USL 1 season, it was rebranded to WeAreNCSoccer.com. This site will cover all topics related to North Carolina Football Club as well as the NCFC youth programs that support their “Pathway to the Pros” philosophy.
All photos are from Greg Ng, a professional soccer photographer and NCFC fan.
Greg is a photographer that specializes in action soccer photography. As a lifelong player, coach, and fan he transitioned to photography to resist the urge to coach his kids from the sidelines.
His favorite thing to do in the world is watching a soccer game with a camera in hand and his passion is in capturing the emotion in the beautiful game through his photos.
In addition to covering North Carolina FC, he photographs Panther Creek High School Soccer and other North Carolina high schools for CBS MaxPreps, NCFC Youth, and the Carolina Courage of the NWSL for CourageCountry.com.
Outside of photography, Greg is a CEO of a consulting firm in Raleigh and enjoys time with his wife and three children (one of which is still in the NCFC Youth program) in Cary, NC. You can view his travel photography and travel blog at FollowGreg.com or on Instagram at @FollowGreg

Victoria Klum
Contributing Writer
Victoria Klum first discovered her passion for soccer by watching “Soccer Made in Germany” on the tiny black-and-white TV her grandfather loaned her. She was hooked for life after attending her first Portland Timbers game in 1978 and held season tickets with her mother until the NASL team folded after the 1982 season.
Victoria also had a lifelong love of writing and photography: her first published article was a profile of Timbers legend Jimmy Kelly (so popular that he received several write-in votes for mayor of Portland) for her high school newspaper.
Born and raised on the west coast, she decided it was time for a big change and moved from Alameda, CA, to Raleigh, NC with her two cats in tow in 2018. (Clancy and Charlie were less enthusiastic about the road trip.) While planning her move she connected with Greg Ng, who offered plenty of insight, encouragement, and advice about settling in North Carolina.
Resetting her life as a freelance writer and photographer, Victoria soon began writing recaps and contributing photos of North Carolina Courage and North Carolina FC games for ProstAmerika. In 2020, she reconnected with Greg when he began shooting NCFC games, and jumped at the chance to contribute match recaps for We Are NC Soccer.
When she isn’t writing NCFC game recaps, Victoria writes about the Courage and the intersection of culture and sport on her Substack. She also works as an SEO strategist for an automotive digital marketing agency.
Victoria also writes bios and takes photos of adoptable kittens and cats for Best Friend Pet Adoption in Cary, NC, and encourages you to adopt, don’t shop.
